Introduction
Ms. Azemika was born and raised in Bakersfield, California. She was admitted to the California State Bar in 2021. Ms. Azemika graduated from the University of Southern California (USC) with magna cum laude honors. At USC, Ms. Azemika was awarded an academic scholarship from the USC-Kern County Alumni Association. She graduated from USC with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Philosophy and a minor in Forensics and Criminality.
In between college and law school, Ms. Azemika worked with children and young adults with developmental disabilities at several non-profit organizations in Bakersfield. She attended law school at the University of San Diego, where she received the USD School of Law Faculty Achievement Scholarship. During her second and third years of law school, Ms. Azemika worked at USD’s Education and Disability legal clinic, where she advocated for children with disabilities within the San Diego school districts. During her time at the legal clinic, Ms. Azemika also worked on a number of court-ordered conservatorships. In 2021, she graduated from USD School of Law with a concentration in Children’s Rights. After graduating law school, Ms. Azemika immediately moved back to her hometown of Bakersfield in order to practice law here and to give back to her community.
Ms. Azemika works exclusively in the field of family law. She is a member of the California State Bar Association, Family Law Section, and the Kern County Bar Association, Family Law Section. Ms. Azemika currently serves on the Board of Directors for Bakersfield-ARC, the Family Law Section of the Kern County Bar Association, the Women’s Lawyers Section of the Kern County Bar Association and the Young Lawyers Section of the Kern County Bar Association.
